Selfridges took delivery of their new semi automatic baler, the CHB45, from Capital Compactors.
The customer collects and storese cardboard throughout their warehouse in Birmingham. Once full they move the cardboard bins outside, where they tip the cardboard into the baler hopper using the hydraulic bin lift provided.
The baler uses sensors to detect when there material in the hopper area and automatic starts pushing the cardboard with 50 tonnes of pressure against the port culis door system.
Once around 500kgs of cardboard has gone through the baler, approximately. 16 x 1100ltr bins the operative ejects the bale and places onto a stand trailer for mill delivery.
Our design and factory premises in Barnsley also designed and built this canopy to offer the site longevity of baler and improved working conditions for the operatives on site, maximising space inside the warehouse for goods.
